Churches and Historic Buildings

Barsby Lightning Protection endeavours to provide a unique approach when working on Churches and Historic Buildings. Whilst we believe that it is essential for these buildings to have adequate lightning protection, concern for the need and appearance of the building means that sensitivity is required in both design and installation.

Our aim is to provide a system that is least obtrusive, both visually and physically, yet still give sufficient cover in the event of a lightning strike. We seek to ensure that any work does not unnecessarily disturb the historic fabric of the building, protecting and preserving it for both present and future generations to enjoy.

We also undertake the renovation of Rooster and Cardinal Points.

Our company recommends the annual testing and inspection of all Lightning Conductors and Earth Installations as specified in BSEN 62305.

VANDALISM & PILFERING

Barsby Lightning Protection also carry-out the installation of Anti-Vandal Guards and Anti-Vandal paint works, for the protection of down-conductors and roof areas.

We also undertake the installation of “Smart-Water” to all lead-work areas, should this application be required.
